Best spot on the waterway, hands down. Great food, full bar, top notch service, live music, brunch menu and even upstairs/downstairs seating with a patio. What more could you want? The entire restaurant feels like a traditional irish bar with the accoutrements of a modern gastro-pub. Lots of good beer on tap with drink specials, and a menu featuring comforting classics as well as new takes on traditional dishes that are sure to impress and inspire. My favorite is the chicken and waffles. My wife loves the corned beef benedict. and bottomless mimosa? sign me up. Folks complain about price, but they should know what they’re getting into on the waterway. In all honesty, it’s really not that bad. When you consider the quality of food and service offered at the Goose’s Acre compared to some of its neighbors… the price becomes well worth it. Thank you Goose’s Acre for being my light in the dark. My shoulder to cry on. My beacon of hope. The BEST on the Waterway!

I can’t say enough about this amazing place. Every dish ordered by our group was beyond delicious. There were many options for appetizers, main course and desert.

Before going to a concert at Cindy's Place (Cynthia Woods Pavilion) we decided to have dinner where we don't get a chance to go very often, The Woodlands. We chose the Goose's Acre because of its location. It was a rare lovely spring day and we wanted to be outside. This restaurant has a nice patio beside the waterway. Seating was a little hectic. There is an upstairs hostess station and a downstairs hostess station. We were directed to the downstairs hostess for outside seating. The waitress was nice and took our drink order quickly, however the bar was slow to get the drinks out. I ordered the Spare Rib dinner and my wife had a salad with steak. I felt the vegetables were bland on my plate, but the sweet potato mash and rib were perfect. However the Spare Rib portion seemed a little small, maybe 5-6 ounces. I recommend an appetizer with that meal.

New to the area and was recommended the restaurant by my lovely Lyft driver. Was served by Blake, who was just released from training. Very friendly, shared the history of the restaurant and gave some suggestions for local sights. I had the gluten-free tuna poke and the derby salad without cheese and bacon with an unsweetened ice tea. Poke was definitely my favourite highlight. My only downsides were that my table had water dripping from the ceiling vent, and there were no seat covers in the restroom. Small things that can be easily improved, but the interior has a unique aesthetic. A nice, warm feel, and everyone greeted me in passing. I will return again.

My coworker and I came here for an industry happy hour event after attending a conference at the hotel next door. The first thing that stood out to me was the really cool location right next to the waterway. I think getting a drink and/or food with a friend or a date would be really neat at The Goose’s Acre. Although I can’t speak on the prices there as I was at a happy hour event, the service was great even with the large amount of people in attendance and the food provided was really good especially the beef sliders. I would love to come back here some time for an industry event or just for a personal visit.

We sat downstairs for lunch with Dee and had a great time! Dee helped us narrow down our choices of drinks and meals and had great recommendations. Definitely check out the downstairs and patio for great views of the waterway!

Absolutely love this place. Came here twice. Tried the fried chicken and shepard's pie and they were delicious. The atmosphere and the view from the outdoor seating is definitely a plus. 100% recommend.

I had the pleasure of dining at The Goose’s Acre in The Woodlands recently, and I just have to share—what a gem. From start to finish, it was one of the most satisfying meals and evenings I’ve had in a long time. Ambiance & Setting As soon as I walked through, I was struck by how warm and welcoming the place felt. The decor is charmingly authentic—there’s real character in the wooden bars, the artwork, the way it feels like a pub with soul, not just another restaurant. The view of the Waterway from the outdoor patio adds such a lovely touch, especially at golden hour. Dining outdoors while cool breezes roll off the water made everything feel more relaxed and enjoyable. Service Top-notch in every respect. Our server Blake was friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of the place. Small things stood out—the way they checked in to make sure our drinks stayed full, how they guided us patiently through the menu—even when we asked a lot of questions. It didn’t feel like just a transaction, but like they genuinely cared that we had a great time. Food & Drinks This is where they really shine. I tried the their signature salad —fresh and amazing and it hit all the right notes. Another standout was their chicken wings; there’s something comforting about the rich flavors, hearty portions, and perfect balance of ingredients. For drinks, they’ve got a solid selection. I had a cocktail that was well-crafted (not too sweet, not too heavy) and paired perfectly with the food. Brunch is also a winner—brunch menu items plus bottomless mimosas make it a treat. Value & Overall Feel Portions are generous but not excessive, prices are reasonable given the quality, location, and vibe. If you’re looking for a place for a date night, gathering with friends, or a relaxing weekend lunch, The Goose’s Acre hits a sweet spot. It feels upscale without being pretentious, comfortable yet polished. What I’ll Remember Most The genuine Irish pub feel, transplanted beautifully into The Woodlands.

My wife and I both know first hand what an authentic pub looks like. This is an authentic pub! As we later found out, it’s actually from Ireland. Dismantled and rebuilt here. To top it all, they have draft Guinness! The food was delicious. I had the whiskey sauce short ribs and I would recommend it. Although they have a very extensive menu. We went on a week night for my wife’s birthday and it was busy but not packed. I’m sure this place gets very busy on the weekends. If you haven’t been here then you must go. If you have been here then you must go back. I know we will!

We’ve been coming here and enjoying it for years. Atmosphere is really fun, the service is always great, and the food is good. The portion size on the salmon is a little skimpy, but it is quite tasty.
